Review of soon to be released “Freed:To live or …”
Welcome back to Australia and our friends from a ‘Journey to Joy.’
Bethany (and husband Sam Yardley) return to Freemantle with big plans for themselves and life-changing news for Joann Canter, Bethany’s former cell block mate.
The Yardleys will soon set out into the hinterlands of Australia to start a new sheep station, but not before the arrival of their baby. And meanwhile, Joann, absolved of 20-year old charges and freed from the imprisonment she has endured her entire adult life, will stutter-step her was as she learns to make life decisions.
Life circumstances put both Joann and Joe Winter, Yardleys’ friend and Freemantle’s shopkeeper, on the same boat to England, where she begins a new life filled with changes and surprises. Joe, on the other hand, cannot wait to accomplish the tasks that brought him to London and get back to his chosen life “down under.”
You will love Nancy Young’s most recent story with its many twists and turns, as her characters experience changes in their personal lives and grow in their trust in God. I hope that more “Victorian Women of Faith” stories are waiting to be told by Nancy!
A Journey to joy
I enjoyed “A Journey to Joy” very much.
Great story and hard to put down.
Home, A Viking's Heart and Alva's Redemption
I have just finished reading “Home, A Viking’s Heart”, and the sequel, “Alva’s Redemption”, by Nancy I Young. Both books had a strong Christian female leading character of whom I could identify with. Lots of twists and turns in the plot kept my interest. They were real page-turners with satisfying endings. A light easy read, appealing to teens and adults.
"Home: A Viking's Heart" and "Alva's Redemption"
I thoroughly enjoyed both of these books. I thought that the characters were well-developed and believable. The plots had so many unexpected twists and turns that I experienced several different emotions as I was reading. The books were both almost impossible to put down until I got to the end. I can't wait to read the third book. Very impressed!
