Our experience was truly unforgettable! The family loved the places we went to in Costa Rica! We ate great food everyday! And the people at the hotels, resorts, and excursions were so kind and welcoming! The 2 hotels we stayed at were also very nice! The first a hotel near the volcano (a magical experience and view) and the second was a resort where we could find something fun to do everyday! We truly fell in love with Costa Rica! It was so nice and relaxing, all we had to do once we got there was just enjoy our time.
Thank you thank you Arturo! You set up the perfect trip possible. We were focused on birdwatching since Costa Rica has more than twice the birds than North America has, and Arturo came through for us with flying colors. We saw 222 birds and 128 were new sighting for me! If you are a birder be sure to have Arturo set you up at the Tree Houses at Maquenque. the food was excellent, the employees superb and birding guides were amazing. I want to commend Arturo for all the planning he did for us, and contacting us every day to assure we were okay and travel plans came off properly. Everything went off without a hitch. The drivers were excellent especially Pablo, and kudos to Gerado who drove us and guided us as well on a bird watch trip in Carara and took us to a local restaurant with the best ceviche. We had a very good experience at Koora, with friendly and caring staff that called us by name when we came to meals. The food was the best in Costa Rica. If you go to Costa Rica call Arturo, you won't be sorry. Our trip took us from Tortuguero National Park, Manquenque Lodge, Volcano Lodge (La Fortuna), Monte Verde (Biological Preserve) Arenal Hanging Bridges, Carara National Park and Manuel Antonio National Park. All the transportation was arranged and arrived on time. The guides at Maquenque Lodge, Luis and Antonio were fantastic at spotting and identifying the birds. When we were at the Biological Preserve our guide Kevin was superb, we got to see a Quetzel which can be difficult. I could really go on. Arturo did a great job in putting this trip together for us. Thank You Arturo!
This trip was amazing! We saw so much wildlife and beautiful sunsets with breathtaking views everywhere. Our favorite place we stayed was Corcovado Wilderness Lodge. The staff and tour guides were friendly and full of so much information. They catered to our every need and ensured we had an incredible experience. The treehouse suite was floor to ceiling windows where we saw the wildlife yet private and perfect. Visiting Cano Island for snorkeling was the best experience on the trip. The sea turtles actually came up and swam with us! The Koora Hotel in Monteverde cloud forest was also a great pic by Arturo. They were very accommodating and friendly. They even ordered a beautiful birthday cake for my birthday dinner (dinner was amazing) and sang to me. Visiting the animal sanctuary next door to them is the biggest hidden gem. Ask about seeing the sloths. I saw 6 sloths on my 60th birthday there! As perfect as these areas were I would pass on La Paz waterfall garden if you prefer to only see wildlife in their natural habitat. I got the feeling of it being like a zoo. Just not my thing. The gardens were beautiful though. Arturo put together the perfect trip for us. He went above and beyond to make sure everything went smooth for us. I highly recommend using his agency to ensure you get to experience exactly what you want.
Arturo, We had a very smooth trip, including all transfers, which made all the difference. There were 12 people involved, that alone is a task. I really liked the Volcano Paraiso Hotel, the food at the pool was great. The hot springs were great. I also liked the Volcano Inn, our rooms were cute and poolside. In Arenal, our favorite would be the rafting the Sarapiqui class 3-4. It was great and a great way to beat the heat. We ate at good restaurants in Arenal: Nene's and Pollo Fortunano..The only thing I didn't totally love was ziplining, It was a long hot day, we love the water and it didn't have any. The next day we went on our own to the waterfall swimming and rope swings. Fortuna is a great little town. The bus to MA was long, we were prepared for it. And told it was all part of the journey! Manuel Antonio was a great beach town. We loved the location of the hotel, the hotel itself was good. The hotel restaurant was just ok. The food in MA was so-so. The transfers were great and on time and friendly, we liked the Arenal Star driver..Roy. Overall, A great time! We thank you and are passing your name out! KAren FARnell
We had such an amazing experience with Arturo from Rainforest Tours who organized our incredible trip to Costa Rica. From the remote stay near the Rincón de la Vieja active volcano, where we hiked to a mesmerizing waterfall and went white water tubing down the Blue River, to the stunning Las Mareas beach area with its pristine beaches perfect for snorkeling, and finally, the awe-inspiring Arenal region where we explored hanging bridges and relaxed in the gorgeous and rejuvenating Tabacon Natural Hot Springs. His knowledge of the area and where to stay along with his attention to detail in planning each activity was invaluable and made this journey truly unforgettable. He was extremely responsive making things worry free. He literally called me back within 5 minutes when I needed him! He truly thought of everything to make this family trip unbelievable. Our kids say it was their best vacation yet! Highly recommend!
The Tubing tour in Blue RIver was one of the coolest things I have ever done. Watching sea turtles hatch in Las Marenas was pretty cool too. Blue RIver was a really cool remote small. The kids loved it. Dreams have amazing, beautiful properties. Tabacon Thermal Spa was my favorite. Expensive drinks but the resort is nicer than anything in Hawaii All the activities that Arturo planned for us were super fun. The Tubing tour in Blue River is a must along with the Hike to the cathedral waterfalls. The White water rafting trip a lot of fun near arenal. We did some offshore fishing in Las Marenas Blue River resort is so cool. The staff was amazing. The resort is small so I got to know everyone. I'm fine with the basic cabins; the location was A+. The monkey was outside our door in Dreams at Las Mareas kids basically high fived them everyday.
