As a first time visitor to Germany and Dresden from Sydney, Australia with my son and his 3 daughters who went on a different adventure today, it was a great pleasure to have Laura as my guide. We had a small group of 8 people from Prague, USA and Singapore. Laura has a great knowledge of facts and the history of Dresden. Laura delivers her commentary factually interlaced with her good sense of humour. She also engaged with us individually at different stages which I thought was a nice touch. Our family of 3 took the train from Berlin to Prague, and stopped for four hours in Dresden. Laura, our guide, met us at the train station, and took us for a tour of the city. We had a wonderful time, and felt like we truly got an idea of what Dresden is like. Laura was able to answer any questions we had, showed us around at our own pace, and shared the history of the city. It was a perfect stop on our trip!

I took this tour in early May. Karen was superb as our guide She covered Dresden's history going back to pre-Germanic days, its noteworthy kings and their interactions with neighboring states, its importance as a scientific center for more than a century, and the trauma experienced in WWII. Mixing history and living in Dresden since the 1990s, she brought a lot of insight as we walked through the historic center. She also raised interesting questions about Dresden's firebombing toward the end of the war, which I need to explore further. The group was diverse and small as advertised. I'm very glad there was still a spot for me, since I made my reservation at the last minute.

We started our first day with a tour through the old city. Wolfgang, out tour guide is a super enthusiastic person and proud citizen of Dresden. He talks with an enthusiasm as if it was his first time. Pleasant personality and very knowledgable.

It was exciting for me to finally get to Dresden 3 years after first planning my visit there cancelled by the pandemic. I met with Seema at the famous seated statue and we walked up some steps to get a fine panoranic of the river and the various buildings that flank it. Seema's own story is a great one and her passion for Dresden is evident in her description of the historic events that have shaped the city , relayed as we walk around the landmarks. I learned a great deal and left eager to learn more! I would recommend Seema as a guide for anyone wishing to learn of Dresden's story.

We were looking for a private walking tour in Dresden, and we were referred to Seema. Unfortunately she was not able to guide us as she was away, but Wolfgang, guided us in her place, and it was a really excellent morning. Wolfgang was extremely knowledgeable about both Dresden and 20th century history. He was also very patient, and carefully curated the tour to fit in with our needs. If you are looking for a private tailor-made walking tour of Dresden, I would definitely use Seema & Wolfgang. They were both excellent and thoroughly professional.

Together with the whole family we had the pleasure of being guided around Dresden by Seema. She is extraordinarily knowledgeable and could answer well our (often very specific) questions. The combination of her stories and old pictures of Dresden gave us a richer picture of the time of the Third Reich and how the regime functioned and it’s consequences. Especially interesting was Seema’s analysis of the psychological aspects of the political regime and how it came into power. Our group consisted of both youth and adults, and all got something valuable out of the experience. Thank you Seema!

Laura guided the tour I attended. She was enthusiastic, funny and offered interesting stories and insights. When a couple didn't show up, she was concerned and asked if we'd mind waiting for a bit. She assured us she'd add time to the end of the tour. I appreciated her concern for the couple and her thoughtfulness towards the rest of us. It was a great tour and for an extremely reasonable price. The tour starts at the square near the bridge, and I highly recommend it.

I booked a private tour, but Seema got covid. She handled the situation in the most profesional way and gave us options. Finally we decided to have our tour with Sylvia Hanno. She was great! my wife and I had a wonderful time in Dresden. We recommend their service and knowledge.

I had the absolute best tour with Laura learning the full history of Dresden. She was knowledgeable on everything from medieval jousting to post-Soviet reconstruction. She was not only incredibly knowledgeable, she was a ton of fun and loved being interrupted with questions! Laura clearly loves and enjoys the city and it was a pleasure to share the afternoon with her. I’m only disappointed I’m not here longer to try some of their other tours. As a bonus, Seema messaged me some sights to check out on my free morning based on my interests. This tour was a highlight of the trip!

See My Dresden deserves top honors! Seema is a fantastically knowledgeable and incredibly insightful tour guide. Though some guides may have spent more time living in Saxony, I consider it a bonus to view both the beauty and tragedy evident throughout Dresden, as filtered through the experience of someone who came to the city later in life. Certainly she shows the key sights (the Zwinger, the castle, the opera, the Brühlsche Terrasse) and discusses what makes them special. But what sets Seema apart is her background in psychology. She can quickly read the mood and interests of her clients, and tailor the style and pace of her tour accordingly. For our group of international visitors, she provided a unique balance of humor, pathos, facts and trivia. She encouraged questions and answered them adeptly. In short - Even as someone who has lived in Dresden for years, I learned new things, and enjoyed myself immensely. In fact, I'm excited to take another tour with her - and try one of her "Psychology writes History" walks soon!

Seema’s name was suggested to me by my colleagues at the Robert Bosch Foundation. They had a Dresden walk with her and were highly impressed. I had planned the walk for a group of 8 visiting Indian journalists and had requested Seema to mix up the walk with not just information about touristic attractions but also with an extended insight into the history of Dresden during the second world war and also during the times of the German Democratic Republic. She planned the walk exceptionally well. Being an Indian herself who moved to Germany only a few years ago, it was very interesting to see how she had come to call Dresden her home - a city which has been in the news of late usually for all the wrong reasons. We spent an amazing day with seema in Dresden. She is very interesting and intelligent woman. She has a lot of knowledge. Everybody who wants the best guide must take her. We spent 8 hours and we’ll do it again.

We were lucky enough to be able to book a 4 hour private tour with Seema to show us as much historical WW2 history in dresden as possible. Without Seemas excellent knowledge we would never have managed to see as many sights and learn so many facts. Did a really wonderful tour in Dresden a few days ago; one of the best tours I ever did! I combined two tours by guide Seema: ‘Psychology writes history’ part ! and part II. The tours are about the rise and fall of the Nazi regime (part I) and the rise/fall of the Communists (part II), two periods in Dresden’s recent history that are of critical importance. There are more tours offering information about this. But what makes the Seema tours special is the psychological perspective. She is a psychologist herself and knows a lot about e.g. what drives people, how people can be influenced, and personality disorders. So if you are wondering how Adolf Hitler grew up and became the person we all hate so much now, how it is possible that he got elected (in a free election) to lead the country, how the regime very systematically started to eliminate all opposition, how the regime suppressed and humiliated people who were different, what explains the hatred towards jews/Roma’s/communists/gays, how Hitler and Goebbels influenced in mass speeches various audiences in a highly sophisticated and successful way, then this tour is for you! The guide is highly knowledgeable, brings the right level of nuance, and puts things into perspective. She feels comfortable with interaction and discussion, which makes it even more interesting. I am not a novice on the subject, but must say that this tour tremendously increased my understanding for what happened here. My tour took 5.5 hours, and I did not get distracted or bored for one single second! The visit to the Stasi prison and interrogation rooms at the end of the tour is something that I will not easily forget either. Top marks for Seema! I can highly recommend her.

I have always believed that history is interesting and - what is more important - not something from the past but something relevant for today and tomorrow. When you look at history, it is not the "who" and "when" that matters but the "why". Seema's "Psychology writes History" tours just fit the bill. Don't get me wrong: She also knows her names and numbers but she is really great in digging much deeper and make you understand how things came into existence in the first place and what tools the key players applied to make them happen. I pride myself with a good knowledge of European history. But with Seema, I found answers to these questions I had always asked myself but also those I had known to even exist in my head. Truly magical!
